Doubletree By Hilton

The hotel sector is nothing if not crowded. The downturn has meant that the tide has gone out on so many of the elements that combine to make up their core business. Business travel is under intense scrutiny, the leisure sector is suffering a prolonged attack of the jitters and even the F&B bedrock - conferencing, meetings and social gatherings - is struggling to maintain any kind of rhythm.

It was against this background that we were welcomed on to the Doubletree by Hilton brand.

Our first brief was to take a look at Dunblane Hydro. Keen observers of the sector will know that bazillions of pounds have recently been invested in this property to transform it from a cross between a Victorian lunatic asylum and the Munsters' country retreat and make it sit effortlessly as a contemporary premium mid-market destination for both leisure and corporate markets.

The trouble was that few of the changes had been effectively communicated.

We created single-minded retail-flavoured advertising to stimulate sales momentum both in the short- to mid-term. We have been working hand-in-hand also with celebrity chef Nick Nairn's stunning food offer to highlight the hotel's point of difference, and we have developed a kaleidoscopic series of printed and online initiatives to engage with and inform the various profit streams.

Even if the budgets were not exactly diamond-encristed, the results have been sparkling and we are looking forward to the next stage of development with fresh confidence. Want to see more? Then, please click here.
